“The Assemblers that are said to have assembled the entire megastructure of the Ring, the Planters that sewed the ring with life from the homeworld, the Sculptors that added the finishing touches to the landscapes. Then there are the lesser entities. Maintainers, Defenders, Observers, and many others.”

- Seeders: growers of plants and cloners of animals. Seeders brought life to the Ring, and are said to appear and start seeding when extensive damage is done to the ecosystem. Some of the biggest and most well known seeders sometimes settle down in some areas on the Inside, and are the patrons for druids or clerics of life.
- A Seeder is a construct that repairs ecosystems. They are found near the edges of the world much more frequently than nearer the equator because of harsh climates. Sometimes that can be convinced to follow you to a place that needs some TLC.
- The people near the edges have used them for as long as they can remember. In the old days, there would be a festival at spring where farmland was set alight and a portion of food stores would be sacrificed to entice Seeders to come. Some of the oldest Seeders understood this ritual and were worshipped as entities of fertility. However, as hundreds then thousands of years passed, the old Seeders became a bit senile and began forgetting what they were supposed to be doing. Sometimes they didn’t come, sometimes they seeded the wrong things. They became less reliable as fertility icons, and many stopped using them. As more time passed, some of the old Seeders began to go insane (or so people say). They began seeding strange monsters well out of their normal ecosystems, seeding mutants, even cloning people, and creating horrific chimeras such as hydras or Eaters. This was a rare occurrence, but it made many fear the Seeders to this very day.
- Observers: diligently watch a variety of attributes of life and geography inside the ring. Some interact with the metahumans, some simply observe them.
- Defenders: most of them are sentinels that exist on the Outside and attack alien threats or deflect space debris. When a hostile entity causes widespread imbalance within the Inside though, Defenders sometimes appear to remove them. Occurrences are less common now.
- Maintainers: Maintain and repair the structure of the ring, usually on the outside or within the actual structure itself. Seldom do they appear on the Inside.
- Suppressors: suppress threats present on the Inside surface of the Ring.
