Velreyon Claros
An oral account that has been written down tells of Velreyon’s heroic and harrowing journey to the Outer Range to find a cure for their partner’s Clear Death affliction. They were successful in finding a cure, returning with much strange knowledge and fervour. They cured their partner and they lived a happy life together, but Velreyon fell to the same affliction in the end.
Velreyon was a denizen of Zelestar after it’s fall. They attempted to live in the low mana area where people were falling victim to the Clear Death.
Tomoir Shadecrag
Tormoir Shadecrag - a dwarf /duergar who lived in the Apix region some 90 years ago. Again, an instance of this spontaneous crystalization/petrification occurred in the population. Tormoir was a capable adventurer and set off on a quest to put an end to it which led him on a long search for information that eventually took him to somewhere at the Southern Edge. He claimed to have spoken to his ancestors who took the form of a wolf out in the void, and that they granted him the ability to restore who he chose as long as he was willing to bear a dark burden. He never revealed what he did to gain this power, but he was able to restore his husband and child after some more years of adventuring and supplication to his ancestors. Unfortunately, Tormoir succumbed to the same petrification a few years after he retired from adventuring.
