The two of them never got on super well. Linisthus was always very much the golden child, doing everything right in their parents eyes. Its made him a little righteous and entitled, kind of like how some engineers think they are the absolute smartest people on the planet when in reality they have no critical thinking skills. He can certainly be a dick but I also think he is looking for approval just as much as Ike is, but he just was able to take the Wizard golden child path when Ike couldn’t, and it went to his head
