The clans have existed for over a thousand years, living modestly off the tundra land in the diamond Spar region. Sometimes they quarreled, sometimes they cooperated.
Tiger
Warlike, territorial, combative with other clans. No global leadership, though Bjornhild aspired to leading the largest sect. Her ambitions were dashed with her death.
Bear
Bear Clan subcamps had fallen to chaos for the most part. Most have scattered and skirt the edge of the exclusion zone. Gunvald Halraggson leads one of the larger remaining camps, though his shortsighted and deranged leadership has brought them to the brink to destruction. Other bear camps are mostly raiders and pillagers of other camps.
Elk
The Elk Clan has retained the most similarity with how clans functioned since ancient times. They are still mostly self sufficient, forging, fishing, hunting, or conjuring food. They primarily subsist off of the remaining wildlife (esp. elk and buffalo) further north of the Reghed and closer to the ‘10 towns’
Wolf
The Wolf Clan was once following the path of the bear Clan, until their warmongering leader was deposed (i.e. killed) by Niko Fungimung’s father. These days they spend most of their time near the periphery of the ‘10 town’ area, often trading with villagers, or getting some supplies from townies or officials for their defense of the towns (especially Targos).
