Dwarves

Dwarves are a very resilient species of mammalian humanoid. They have incredible immune systems and a substance in their blood and tissue that makes them very resistant to most poisons (Including alcohol). Many dwarves also have a high proportional muscle mass to their size (plus a good bit of spare padding), and tend to be stocky or rotund compared to many other humanoids.

Dwarves are a common species found across the Ring thanks to their hardiness. They live in settlements all the way from Edge to Equatorial regions. Settlements near the Edges are sometimes subterranean (i.e. Port Ivorox). Many dwarves do not mind being in the dark for extended periods of time thanks to their darkvision, and they are able to eat almost any food (so a lot of fungi is cultivated in these underground settlements, including species that may be inedible to others.)

There are a variety of dwarf subspecies that are all adapted to a variety of different climates and environments.

Dwarves of Cytgard live to a general maximum of about 200 years.
