Nephire Dionysian Guild
Overview
The Nephire Dionysian Guild is a small but popular guild in Nephire headed by Gelenti (Revelry), an enthusiastic and curious Lore bard who is extremely interested in the pleasurable practices of material creatures and different cultures.
The NDG’s Hall is located in the Grove district of the Mehali Pyramid in Nephire. It is of modest size and houses the offices of the staff, meeting rooms, and R&R facilities. The hall is very comfortably appointed with tranquil ponds and plants, plush couches, and wide windows that give a view across to the other half of the Mehali Pyramid as well as the sea. Layered drapes provide privacy in the offices and R&R rooms.
Members of the Guild do not generally stay for long periods of time at the hall, but there are a few soundproofed rooms prepared for them.
Financials and Work
The Guild primarily receives funding from sales of the journal it publishes, as well as through donations from interested parties.
NDG journal usually comprises discussions of members’ exploits/discoveries, and goes into great detail and depth. It’s pier reviewed, and quite a popular read for people of all kinds the world over.
There are members from all walks of life at the Guild, from trained scholars, to adventures (former or current), to enthusiasts. Members of the Guild are receive a modest salary, and have no obligation to share any loot with the Guild. The only thing they are required to do is report in every week on their current projects, and send in an least 1 journal report every 2 months. Bonuses are paid for more reports than the minimum. - Depending on a member’s seniority, monthly base salary ranges from 30GP to 60GP a month. - Depending on the quality of a journal entry, bonuses range from 10GP to 30GP.
This is not an Adventurer’s Guild, risk to life and limb and business expenses are comparatively lower, thus, so are wages. For comparison, people living a modest lifestyle (full time formal employment, I.e. Soldier, laborer, hedge wizard, priest, artisan, etc.) generally make around 30 GP a month, with living expenses at about 15 GP a month (modest lifestyle)
