Latent Space is a dimension of infinite possibility. Conjured items are imagined in the prime plane by a sentient being, and then ‘grasped’ and folded from Latent Space, materializing into physical space at the will of the conjurer.

The reverse occurs when an entity is teleported. They are ‘diffused’ from physical space and into pure possibility in latent space, and then folded back out again at their destination. Teleportation can go horribly wrong if the entities are diffused or folded out incorrectly. If anything interrupts the spell (such as a physical interruption or a mana fluctuation), the diffusion into or out of latent space may be rocky.

Teleportation sickness is not uncommon. It can take a serious toll on the sentient mind if too much time is spent in latent space, or it is visited in quick succession.
