Demilich King of the ancient elven kingdom Ythrin built upon a floating Island above the Acidalia Cradle.
Ythrin was a prosperous and incredibly powerful magical city thousands of years ago. They experienced a golden age of magic under the tremendous mana concentrations within the Acidalia Cradle.
The high mages of Ythrin played with a certain Modulator artifact that they shouldn’t have, and all mana was instantly drained from the area for a moment. The island crashed into the sea and sank to the bottom. Because Ythrin didn’t interact much outside the Cradle, it was mostly forgotten after this extinction event.
Verity Silverlight started researching mana control independently, caught wind of Ythrin, went to ccheck it out, and was contacted telepathically by Iriolarthas. She was granted warlock abilities in exchange for her tireless effort to bring him back. Archita was to find a way to raise Wana concentrations back to their former glorious levels so that Iriolarthas could re-constitute his body and bring Ythrin back.
