Ike would at least know these facts, being having known the Markitovs for quite a few years, and having grown up eating their sauces.
The company is known mainly for its signature sauces:
- Honey Heat - a mild, sweet hot sauce which packs a pleasant spicy kick. Miraculously, the heat doesn’t seem to stack as more of the sauce is consumed! This is made with honeymelon, agatine, and a bit of summer pepper. The sauce looks a bit like orange honey.
- Demon Ichor - an incindiary hot sauce with an earthy taste, and an almost carbonated mouth feel. It starts off hot and gets exponentially hotter! The sauce is made with starfruit, devil pear, pop grapes, and capsarine peppers. The sauce is weirdly iridescent and dark green.
- Pepkern Sauce - a somewhat spicy and savory sauce which contains crispy chunks of fried tofu, peanuts, beans, and various types of pepper flakes. The sauce is a bright magenta coloured oil, and the particles float evenly within it.
- Purple Monster Mash - a particularly difficult to make but especially flavorful hot sauce, consisting mainly of purmanos, tomatoes, and gojimon berries. It’s rare, and dearly prized.
The factory and vineyard have been tended by the Markitovs. At some point, the Martikov family became infected with widespread lycanthropy. The current patriarch, Davian Martikov, is a werewolf, as are his children and grandchildren. Davian is the owner of the farm, and his lycanthrope clan are friendly and civilized, well in control of themselves. They know how to control their affliction.
