A small village in the Lycos forest to the north of Cheval City. It’s relatively self sufficient and rustic, and has a centaur majority, which is uncommon in Acidalia. The village does not have much contact with the Aerocracy, and minds their own business. The Tiaret River cuts through the town, and there are a number of bridges that cross it. Most architecture here is built to the form factor of centaurs, with accomodations made for humanoids
The village farms fruit and vagatables on small form lots, and use magic (generally druidcraft) to grow berries on wild plants in the surrounding Lycos forest. Some fruit such as Java Peach are traded with Cheval city. The people of Tiaret tend to prefer sustainable hunting practices rather than ranching. Lately, the forest has become dangerous though, and there has been less of that as monsters make it dangerous to scavenge or hunt in the woods.
There is a town plaza where weekly market is held in the bend of the Tiaret river, and the Hall of Representatives sits opposite to it.

- Pegasus Potions: A magical apothecary that offers a range of potions and remedies. The owner is a wise old criocentaur (goat centaur) by the name of Acro Sendai who can provide insight into the nature of magic.
- The Wandering Minotaur Bookstore: A bookstore that specializes in rare and exotic tomes.
- The Enchanted Grove: This shop is run by a friendly elf named Aria. She sells a variety of magical items, from potions to enchanted weapons.
Notable people:
- Captain Gallant: The leader of the town’s militia, Captain Denzil Gallant is a brave and experienced dwarf warrior (level 8 fighter) who is leading the fight against the monsters in the woods.
- Gallant has a small force of voluntary militia (level 3-5 martials) who drive monsters away from the edge of town, and deal with those which get through.
- Lyra Windrider: A renowned (in town) centaur archer who runs a hunting school in town. She’s middle aged, but has lightning reflexes. She’s also part of the militia.
- Kaelin Starweaver: A young and promising dragonborn wizard who is studying under the guidance of the town’s elder wizard, Althea Silvermoon (a cervitaur).
- Kaelin often visits Demonologist Baryon to use his archives and learn more about the Shadowfel monsters.
- Oakwood: A centaur blacksmith who has lived in Equitania for many years and is well-respected by the centaur community for his craftsmanship.
- Oakwood makes arms, armor, and day to day equipment using both physical crafting prowess as well as fabrication magic. The items he creates are of far higher quality than Archita’s, with near perfect tolerences and ergonomics.
- Mayor Thalia Azurin: This wise centaur is the leader of Tiaret. She is respected by her people for her wisdom and her dedication to keeping the town safe. She is functionally just the speaker of the council, and has no extraordinary power over the other 4 members.
