A town built atop kilometer high stilts, situated above the canopy of the Dozey Forest-Sea. The land slopes steeply downwards from the west, and enormous orange leafed trees have frown from the cliffs to the sea. The Dozey Forest is home to a wide variety of strange creatures. The deepest parts are unexplored as they are almost completely dark and extremely dangerous. A cantilever dock stands near the western shore. Giant, long legged stick insects called log-hoppers climb around the tops of the trees to convey passengers and cargo to the city (They are used as shuttles and ships). A main source of food is fishing from the backs of log-hoppers or from tall tree ‘islands’ protruding above the canopy. People lower thin cables with bait on the ends into the canopy and reel in creatures that latch onto them. Fruits and vegetables are harvested both from the surface of the trees, and from just below the canopy by divers.
